Our state-of-the-art liver scan service utilizes advanced elastography technology for a rapid, non-invasive liver health assessment. This allows for on-site liver fibrosis measurement of liver stiffness (kPa) and the Controlled Attenuation Parameter (CAP), providing valuable quantitative insight into liver fibrosis and fat accumulation (steatosis).

Our mobile, on-site service brings liver elastography directly to your clinical site. Scans are performed by trained personnel using portable imaging equipment in a standard clinical setting, with minimal disruption to clinic workflow. This approach improves patient access to liver stiffness and fat measurement while eliminating the need for referrals to off-site imaging facilities.

Why Us

  • No capital equipment investment required by clinicians or providers

  • No additional staffing burden, allowing practices to maintain existing workflows

  • Enhances patient retention by keeping diagnostic services within the clinic

  • On-site convenience, with quantitative results immediately available for clinical use

  • Supports FDA-approved therapy eligibility and disease staging

  • Applicable CPT codes available for qualified reimbursement

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@mobileliverscan.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Liver elastography is a non-invasive imaging method used to measure liver stiffness, which is associated with liver fibrosis (scarring). Many elastography systems also provide the Controlled Attenuation Parameter (CAP), which reflects liver fat content (steatosis).

Certain therapies approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for liver fibrosis or metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) require objective assessment of fibrosis severity for treatment eligibility and monitoring. Liver elastography provides standardized quantitative measurements to support these clinical and payer requirements.

The scan is performed using a portable elastography device. A probe is placed on the patient’s skin over the liver area while the patient lies comfortably on an exam table. The procedure typically takes only a few minutes.

No. Liver elastography is non-invasive, painless, and well tolerated by patients. No needles, sedation, or recovery time are required.

Scans are performed on site at physician offices, clinics, or other clinical settings. Our mobile service eliminates the need for patients to travel to off-site imaging centers or hospitals.

Scans are performed by trained and qualified personnel experienced in operating liver elastography devices and working in clinical environments.

Each scan typically takes 5–10 minutes, allowing efficient integration into routine clinic workflows.

Liver elastography provides quantitative measurements related to liver fibrosis and fat accumulation. It is commonly used to support the evaluation and monitoring of chronic liver disease, including metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MASLD), metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), viral hepatitis, and other liver conditions, as determined by the treating clinician.

Certain U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved therapies for liver fibrosis or MASH require objective, non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis severity for treatment eligibility, baseline assessment, and ongoing monitoring. Liver elastography provides standardized liver stiffness measurements that may be used by clinicians to support these clinical and payer requirements.

No. Mobile Liver Scan provides measurement services only. All scan results are intended for clinical interpretation and medical decision-making by the ordering or treating healthcare provider.

Scans are ordered by a licensed healthcare provider. We work directly with clinics to establish ordering workflows that align with their clinical operations.

Mobile Liver Scan bills the clinic or ordering provider directly for the services performed. The clinical site is responsible for any patient billing, reimbursement, or payer claims related to the liver elastography service.

No. All elastography equipment is provided as part of our mobile service. There is no capital equipment purchase required.

A standard exam room with an exam table and electrical outlet is typically sufficient. Our team will confirm site requirements in advance to ensure smooth operation.

Clinics can contact us directly to discuss scheduling, anticipated patient volume, and service frequency. We work collaboratively to arrange scan sessions that integrate seamlessly into existing workflows.
